Methods of data collection
The research methodology describes actions to
be taken to investigate a research problem and the formula or techniques used
to identify, select, process, and analyze information applied to understanding
the problem. (Kallet, Richard H., Octomber 2004).
There are two research methods qualitative
and quantitative methods.
Quantitative method of research creates numerical
data or data that can be transformed into usable statistics whereas qualitative
research focuses in understanding a
research query as a humanistic or idealistic approach. Quantitative approach is a more reliable method as it
is based upon numeric and methods that can be made objectively and propagated
by other researchers. Qualitative method is used to understand people's
beliefs, experiences, attitudes, behavior, and interactions’ (Dr. Sanjay Kalra, Bharti Hospital and BRIDE, 2013).
Qualitative Methods: interview people, experiences of others
Quantitative Methods: confidential search engines such as summon in the Middlesex Library, Google
Scholar, from books, articles or journals and statistics.
